New 2017 GS
Hey Guys, Just picked up a new GS from Dave McDermott in East Haven. They were excellent to work with.
I drove there from NC and back to make the trade so the car was past the 500 mile mark when I got home. Got the first oil change and as is common, they did overfill it.
The car is great, no issues at all. Just getting used to putting the right foot down to blip the throttle instead of a little tap.
Made the drive on the Cup 2's and luckily avoided rain. I drove in some pretty heavy rain on those last week though but at low speed due to traffic.
It might be the case that the Z07 suspension is not specifically tuned for Pilot Super Sports but I think I will be switching to those at some point. I don't think I will push the car to the point that a small difference in tires will make a big difference in handling or safety.
So, I've gone from introduction to discussing a few of the topics a new owner might be concerned with, so one more is that the car did come with a Stinger Stripe. I didn't order it, don't like it and will be removing it soon. I'm sure it will be easier now and leave less residue if any if I do it now.
I look forward to getting some tips for oil changes and other simple things and maybe even have a tip myself sometime.
