Looking into C6 Z06
Hi all,
I'm doing research and starting down the path of a C6 Z06.
I currently have an 05 Lotus Elise that's modified for autoX and fun mountain driving. It's a fantastic car, but I'm looking for something with a bit more usability. You know, working AC, airbags, seats that don't break your back after an hour, etc. I still want to track / autoX it, but a bit more refinement would be nice.
2LZ package on a C6Z would give me what I want. I test drove one at the dealership and it is another league of fast compared to the Elise. That car is quick, the Z06 is FAST.
I've had some other fun cars before the Lotus (stage 2+ tuned Golf R, 996 Turbo, NA Miata), but the big V8 with gobs of power / torque would be a new experience. It helped that the car at the dealer had a bonkers exhaust on it, so it sounded the business too.
Once I'm able to sell the Elise (might have to wait until spring), I'll be looking very seriously for a Z.
Oh, and I'm a huge forum junkie, so I will probably be on here constantly before & after buying the car.
Looking forward to my next automotive adventure, and learning from you all.
Cheers.
Mark

Welcome to the forum!
Good luck in your search, don't forget to look at a C6 GS either.
