First vette, first post: Hi
Hi, bought my first corvette (1994 white LT1 automatic 116,000 mi). Got it cheap - $6000. Looks pretty good, runs pretty hard. Can't go over 70mph cuz the car shakes. The tires are 13 years old but still have almost all tread. Neither the cruise control or the AC work. It's stupid: I was so excited test driving this car and the way it NAILS you to the door panel on 25mph interstate ramps at 65mph as well as accelerates w/ my memory of a BOSS 351 Mustang I had back in 1985 that I forgot to check if the cruise worked. Also, I bought it in February and it didn't occur to me to check the A/C. At this point it's OK cuz I didn't buy a Corvette to putz around with the cruise control on. I love summer nights w/ the top off.
It's my dream to have a Black/Black ZR1 or 93 Ruby ZR1. Then a silver split window coupe. Then a tri-power C3. Then a dual quad C1. Then ...
Anyway, I live in Omaha. NE. I drive OTR delivering food to Walmart stores from Texas to Canada with my wife as a co-driver and WE ARE STILL MARRIED!
Post something back to me. I want to get to know Corvette loving couples in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Thanks or reading my first post.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the car.
Once suggestion - buy yourself a new set of tires ASAP - 13 year old tires are just not safe.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your C4!
I agree with the others - replacing your tires is an immediate priority. Even though the tread looks good they can be rotting inside.
You may be able to find more information about other couples in your vicinity at the regional section of the forum: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-discussion-9/
Enjoy your ride!

Hi all. I made a reply to one of you regarding tires. Problem is when I post it, I can no longer see it. It goes away and I get a message telling me that as soon as a moderator reviews it, It will show up. How long does this usually take? I should make a copy of all my communications before I post them.
