New guy seeking 'Vette info...
Greetings: My handle - "Americangraffiti," is what I lived cruising in the late 60's in the SF bay area. I had the super hot '55 Chevy to prove it. I also cruised in my buddy George Martinez's 63 split-window 350 HP Corvette, navy blue with Cragar mags. The reason I'm here is to glean info on finally buying my own Corvette, don't know what make, model or year yet. I've wanted one for a half-century and finally have the money to buy a fixer-upper. Just point me in the right direction for info on what to look for and what to avoid. (My own 55 Chev would give the black one in the movie American Graffiti a run for its money)
Classic hot rod: 55 Chev 150 businessmen's coupe (no back seat, no roll-down back windows, very light) 301, Duntov cam, dual quads, Mallory ignition, headers, Borg Warner aluminum case close ratio 4 speed, 4:56 posi, drag links, home-made and very effective ram air. It would pull my buddy's 63 Vette to 90 MPH then he would motor on by. Built for cruising and stoplight storming.

Welcome to the forum. Best advice I can give you since you are not sure what specific year/model Vette you want is to just check out the various General sections that the forum offers and read up on the cars and post up any questions you may have. Many of the sections have some helpful information in Stickies that are located at the top of the first page in each section.
The Tech sections will also have some good tips on the cars. Then when you are ready to buy, there are Corvettes for Sale sections located in each generation of cars.
Good luck in your search.
