Harold g. Washington 81
i am happy to join this forum. I was in Minnessota a few weeks ago with my deceased wifes sister going over some personal things. When I was there I was shocked when
a nice young african gentlemen pulled up to the side of me and i said wow what kind of hot rod is and told me it was a corvette stingray. His name was mister organic
. I am so happy with the current climate in this world and its just so great to see young african americans succeding and i am a big fan of mr organic and he told me to tell
everyone on here to go watch his show. He is a g dang producer for his youtube show.
i had a nice talk with the boy and he informed me that not only does he have a corvette but his other friend has a mclaren i said whats a mclaren he said its faster then a lambroghini i said whats under the hood
and i thought my hearing aid broke when he told me it had a 3.5L 8 cylinder motor in it .
i said i am a little old for youtube i am 81 and am not good at navigating the world wide web unless my grandson is with me but i will tell people to tune in to your show. I did not want to be rude and say that the only thing I can think of thats 3.5L is a lawn mower hahaa.
I said nice car and
they told me that i should get a mid engine corvette. they told me they are 60 thousand dollars i said sold.
i told them that i never liked ferraris and that he must be mistaking because
long as i have been alive and that is quite a long time i have never heard of a rear engine car being produced by an american manufacture.
he called a friend because i just couldnt believe it.
The owner of a dealer down in texas confirmed to me over facetime that there is a rear engine corvette
coming soon and that it will be UNDER sixty thousand dollars. I was sold before I even knew the thing was real. they told me to join corvette forum and i can see all sorts of insider details.
i was with my daughter
in law and she got the dealers phone number, and web address of this very discussion forum and when i went home i got
my checkbook out sucked a stamp and mailed a check.
what i have now is not a complete build but a spot in line
to get one of the first five or ten made i do not
remember of of the top of my head.
i will say that tall guy car reviews and mr organic are really good fellas.
i learned a lot about the dodge hellcat as well but i told him theres nothing like a car with the engine in the back. i almost said you cant put lipstick on a pig but i stopped myself. you can not compare a mopar to a corvette
if i did that thirty five years ago around the time i got married to my now deceased wife I would get laughed out of the room.
the only good thing about being old is that i can enjoy the wifes life insurance policy at this age. she lived a long healthy life it's time to go when its time to go and hopefuly i will live long enough to enjoy this for
3-4 years. 81 years old and still crappin' in a toilet.
harold.
