New, old corvette owner
I just came up on a 1984 Vette in August, and although I'm not new to classic cars, I am new to the Corvette world, so its nice to see so many enthusiasts in one place.
I've owned a 73 Nova and two 3rd Gen Camaros. Since those were my daily drivers, I never fully had the chance to really take them apart and rebuild/restore them like I get to with this C4.
A little background that I do know about the car: I bought it from a lady whose father owned it, and passed away, so it hadnt been started in 12 years! It just sat and got beaten a bit in the West Covina sun for over a decade. After looking it over and seeing that it has a lot left on it, I took it off her hands. After putting in fresh gas and a new battery, I got this beast started after only 10 mins.
Now, I'm elbow deep in cleaning it up and replacing fluids, wires, hoses, plugs, gaskets, and anything else I encounter along the way. I've already hit one hurdle I'm having trouble figuring out, so Iook forward to exchanging stories, pictures, and advice!
