Hello, My name is Steve, and I live near Reading PA. I bought my first Corvette last week, and just joined your discussion forum. I've spent some time here over the years just trying to learn what I could about these cars and this forum has a lot of great information. I bought a base 2009 C6 auto. I've had a variety of fun cars over the years, including a 1970 Firebird, 79 Trans Am, a bunch of third and fourth gen Camaros, and still currently own my first "new" Camaro, a 93 Z28, which is now officially an antique, as well as a 454 powered 69 Chevelle. Ever since I was a kid I wanted a Corvette, but I lived on a farm with a long dirt lane, so it wasn't possible. I finally decided that now that I'm in a place where I could make it happen it was time. I only wish I did it sooner. Anyhow, I'm having a lot of fun with the car, and cant wait to get time for a few nice road trips. I'll try not to ask a bunch of stupid questions that have probably been answered a thousand times, and I'm looking forward to spending time here learning all I can. Thanks.
Hey Steve, congrats on your newly aquired C6 and welcome to the forum. Just a handy tip, you can actually search our forum using Google and just type Corvette forum at the end of your search string. I do this all the time with good results. Enjoy!!!
Thanks to all. I'm really enjoying this car. I put a hundred miles on it today just driving around. I could definitely drive this thing daily. I won't, but I could. Here's a pic of it if it lets me post one.
Congrats and welcome. Your story sounds a little like mine, never thought I could own another sports car because of a 4.5 long mile dirt drive to the house. Ended up renting a storage shed in town to keep her. Again welcome, hope you continue to enjoy your new ride.
