Hello all, newbie here. I hail from Indiana an of course I'm a fan and have been for years. I don't currently have a Corvette but who knows? Dannyboy 1969
Welcome to the Forum, Dan!
Suggestion for you; most of the generations (C1/2, C3, etc,), have Sticky Threads at the top of the General and/or Tech sections that offer insight into “good to know” information that may help you be a better prepared buyer.
Best wishes with your search for the Corvette right for you!
I do have one question for you all....I have maxjax MK7 and have not set the second post yet, trying to figure that out....I have a 1969 Mach 1 428 CJ that will be on it too which is the easy one. Now the 2024 Z06 is tough, when I place the posts at CM (60/40+/-) the post sit about at the door handles which at 17" gap from the posts to the car door they barely open due to design, maybe enough for a cat to get in and out (not a human). With this said at center of distribution the post is heavy toward rear so the front arm is almost fully extended and the rear arms squeak by the rear wheels and barely need to extend to the jack point. So the center of balance is correct but the arms are long and short....what issues I'm I missing here? My plan is to place where I think they are needed (posts at center balance of car) as stated above and have the driver side post not bolted, move the car into place get out bolt the post down, use, then lower, remove the post and store, get in the car as normal.....a pain but don't see a way around it.
If the two post was more heavy duty I may center the post between the lift points and doors would open just enough but I dont have that....so?
Don't want my fine ride to fall of lift, that would ruin my day. Yes, I've seen the picks
