Hey all - just thought I'd drop a quick line on the forums. From North Jersey and just got on MacMulkin's wait list for a 2024 Corvette Stingray. Currently #686 on the list and hoping for an April/May allocation.
My father used to own a 1976 White 3 speed Vette for a few years, since then we've been a P-Car and/or Ford Mustang family
Currently own a 2012 Mustang GT (37k miles) and a 1987 Mustang GT T-Top
Dad's onto 2007 Porsche 911 (40k miles) - (he also has a mint condition 1993 BMW M3 in Portugal)
Back in Nov 2021 was ready to move on to a new adventure. I was cross shopping new mid engine sports cars and quickly fell in love with the looks of the Lotus Emira. The Corvette C8 was a close second, but I felt the manual and looks of the Emira got it into first place.
Placed a deposit with a local dealer Nov 2021. Since then the car has risen about $15k in price and there is still no US deliveries in sight. The customer cars that have been delivered in the UK/global are anything but worry free and many have even lemon'd their cars back to Lotus.
I'm still on the Lotus waitlist (with a 2025 ? allocation) but at this point I'm OUT. The lack of dealer network/reliability issues are enough to send me jumping into the C8 deposit list.
Hope to own the C8 for many years to come, once it arrives.

Welcome. I stopped by a relatively local lotus dealer here in NJ ..(summit) they said maybe they’ll get a car in October. I’m sure the line is long ..nice car for sure in the photos.
I think the performance of the c8 will impress you.
