Hi, long time guest reader. First time member. I like the facts and insight you all provide. I have a 57 and 65. I have owned a few muscle cars over the years and I have been a car enthusiast all my life. I was sixteen during the height of big engine muscle cars of the late sixties and early seventies and that enthusiasm eventually led me to corvettes. I live in Minnesota and I like to attend the N. St. Paul car show every Friday night in the summer. It is a great place to just talk and meet friends. When I first took it to the car show, the minute I got out of the car, people were coming up and asking all kinds of questions-two hours went by before I could finally go walk around the car show.
My 57 is a little rough around the edges, Pretty much a driver. Drives great. Planning on doing the Martz suspension (kit is just sitting in the garage). I purchased the car this summer 2023 and I really want to make some changes to the front suspension.
So far, I've had a dual line master cylinder installed and the drum brakes rebiult-I need to stop safely. The car originally had a 3 speed stick. When I purchased it, there was a 2 speed powerglide in it and I'm going to convert it to a Muncie 4 speed.
Anyhow, the journey is half the fun and I really enjoy all the discussions.
