Hey everyone, I'm Dylan and even though I've been on the forums for a while I have never properly introduced myself. I own a 1981 C3 Corvette automatic two-tone as seen in my profile picture. Most of it has been rebuilt by yours truly with help from many members from the forums. I originally worked at O'Reilly from 2022-2024 eventually getting up to assistant manager in a year and a half before leaving to start my own family junk removal business. I knew nothing about vehicles really before working there but had a great store manager who I still talk to today; the man can fix anything and knows so much. I really started to put forth an effort into restoring my C3 after starting my job at O'Reilly, learning what I could from other classic car customers (who would eventually request me to help them with their older vehicle after learning so many things from this forum that I could apply to my job.) I read many forum posts on here when I started working at O'Reilly and it helped alleviate a lot of my C3 woes. I love spreading what I've learned with other classic car owners (especially Corvette enthusiasts) and fixing anything I can that's in my wheelhouse of knowledge or even learning a difficult C3 repair; if I have the tools and expertise to do so. The forum has been such an enormously friendly place to be, with some of the best advice on fixing my car I could ever receive and I can't thank everyone enough for being gracious with their time to help me.
Other than car stuff I am a huge WW1-WW2 collector, I love to read about history and collect rare artifacts from the time period.
