Correction Mike - The dates of the Black Hills Corvette Classic is always based upon the third Saturday in July. It starts on the prior Wednesday in Sioux Falls with Hot Summer Nights, big street dance, with the Rumbles a very good 50s and 60s band.

Road trip
Have been to the BHCC for the last 2 years. Great event.
This year we miss the start as we will spend a week in Avon. Will be in Spearfish on Friday or Saturday. Coming from Colorado via Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Ontario. One of very few Canadian Corvettes.

Its getting closer!!
Well, we have the first part of the trip laid out.
We will be running west form Long Island starting on Saturday morning, July 14 and heading toward The Pittsburg area and maybe beyond by evening (446 mi). We may stretch this out further, depending on the comfort factor
Sunday/Monday looks like a sight seeing run up the Mississippi Valley to Peoria/Debuque/Lacross/Bloomington,, or thereabouts (24 to 74 to 80 to 61N to 30 E to 67N....) This one may be tough at 740+ mi., but nothing is cut in stone.
Tuesday late afternoon to Sioux Falls...back roads only.
Anyone going in our direction?
We will be bailing out of the rally festivities on Saturday afternoon for a Montana trip through "Custer Land" and on to Billings.
We will be going from there to Yellowstone for a few days, then down to Jackson.
Anyone interested in that side of the trip.
Also, if there are any "must drive" roads along that route, please let me know.

My wife and I will be in Sioux Falls Wednesday night. Then on to Spearfish Thursday morning. We are staying in Sturgis Thursday and Friday nights.
We live in Austin, right on Interstate 90. There are two good hotels in town. If you stay in Austin PM me for a good restaurant.

This is the first year in a long time DRM will not be attending. Doug has a big old car race in WI, Road America on the same weekend. I think he has a couple rooms reserved, if anyone needs a room still.
