I need new runflats this Spring. I called my local dealer to see if they take responsibility for any damage to the rims or tire pressure sensors. They said they won't take responsibility and I won't find any shops that will. Does this sounds right to you? Have any of you have experiences with damaged rims or broken sensors when you bought tires? Did the shop make good on the damages?

Shops always seem to be able to blame the sensor for a failed sensor. Magically the sensor dies when they have the car.
Anyway I would keep asking around and see if anyone has used someone in your area. I really dread getting new tires...
I just had my Kuhmo MX's from tire rack drop shipped and mounted on new rims won on ebay at USA Wheels in Fairfield. I was tld about them from Eamondor(SP) from this board.-
I will do business with them again -800-513-1399
I think Eamondor has rims that are each worth more than my whole set including tires, if he trusts them then good enough for me.
They repair rims as well and do powder coating of parts
Thanks everyone. I'll give Birch and USA Wheels a call. I checked two chevy dealers in my area and neither had the machine to mount/dismount run flats. Go figure.....
I bought some from Birch Tire in Rockaway last year. No problems with any damage, so I can't say how they'd be under those circumstances.
The sales guy I talked with was Craig Tomensky; gave me what I felt was a good price.
Thanks! Gave Birch a call. Seem like they know what they're talking about. Quoted me $1440 for install and balancing of stock run flats all around. Thanks again.
I had my car done at Ayers in Dover.. Ask for Dave directly..
Mounted my stock runflats on my new Z06 chromies.
They did damage one of my old polished ones..
But they replaced it with a brand new one!!! No problems..

WTF? I spoke with someone at Ayers. They told me they don't have the equipment! They told me they can not accept responsibility for damage since they send the job to another shop that has the right equipment. I spoke with John. I'll give Dave a call and see what type of answer I get.
I had 4 tires dropped shipped from Tire Rack to Robbie's last year. They have the equipment and take good care of the car. Call and ask for Renee Eisman, Shop Manager. 973-366-1617.
If you can find someone with a Hunter Brand of equipment you should be fine. This equipment will not touch the rim, just clamps at the center. American Tire and Auto in Chester has it. Behind the Chester movie theater, but they charge an arm and a leg to mount a vette tire. FWIW
Tirerack.com is great! Ordered my new tires on Saturday, got them today! (their warehouse is in Delaware)
Also, whats all the rage about this "Hunter Balancing Machine"??

I know that place, didn't care for them though. I go with West10 Tires on Rt.10 in Roxbury. They also have the Hunter 9700 machine, and charged me $53 to balance 4 wheels. I couldn't believe it, and actually asked them if the price is correct! See what happens when people are conditioned to overpay for simple stuff... just because of the Corvette nameplate. By the way, this place charges around $75 to $85 to mount and balance 4 tires.

Thanks to Admiral94, he told me of a good place that mounts and balances all 4 for about $65.00 , and with a Hunter machine. Stafford Tire on Rt3 west in Clifton, NJ!

If you didn't get them yet: I went and got Firestone SZ50 EP RFTs at a Firestone in East Norriton, PA. They ended up damaging one of my tire sensors trying to get me out in time to make an Eagles game and ended up recrediting my credit card for the cost once I got it fixed....good guys!!!!
