Default EVENT email notification

As a Regional Event Coordinator I had access to a bulk email here on the forum. I could enter a zip code and mileage radius to email members in bulk. I frequently used it to email members about upcoming events, as many of you know
Ever since the forum changed things last fall the bulk email is a feature that has not been restored and we are not sure when it will be.
I figure I'll try to do it manually for now BUT I need your help.
IF you want to be on this email list post your correct email address here or email me at jport59@comcast.net

Why not set up an external mailing list so all they gotta do is sign up, or you can import the e-mails? I can help you with that if you want ... btw why did they stop that feature?

Basically that is what I am doing. Anyone that signs up on this post or emails me will be added to a CF NE address book in my Outlook.

The feature was not part of the new Forum software upgrade they did last fall. I've been told they are working on adding it. BUT with the nice weather around the corner and no deadline date I'm doing this in the meantime.
