Everybody, just remember that there are more than four or five active posters that look in here and they have every right to do so.... Just trying to remind everyone of the bigger picture... take a look at all the states that the NE section covers......

That's why we need a regional OT section.

If they do decide that, seriously, I'll nominate you as Moderator

You'll love it

I'm willing to be the moderator. I spend most of my day here anyway. Serious!

Rich, my point was this :

It was not an attack against NCRS or people that participate in in judged shows; that was not my intent.

My point was that there are a large number of non-contributing, non-participating, non-useful members that dictate what is - and what is not - a valid thread for the NorthEast section.

I bought my first Corvette 1 year ago - and was introduced to this wonderful, beautiful fellowship forged in our overwhelming passion for Corvettes and all things Corvettes.

I, personally, get around. I have met all of the NJ & NY regulars, some of the PA cruisers, all of the CT regulars and most of the MA regulars.

All told, I have met more than 500 members of this Forum. This is not just an online distraction for me.

Some of these people are now my friends - far, far and beyond the confines of the Corvette Forum.

We meet online, kid around and joke, as we do in person. We are not attempting to offend anyone or break any rules. Just using the Corvette Forum for it's intended purpose; to meet other like minded individuals that share our passion for our cars - of any year.

As a token of my appreciation to the Corvette Forum for the camaraderie and friendship it has fostered, I went to Cruise In 6 in Kentucky and I became a Lifetime Gold member. These 2 facts alone should speak volumes about my dedication and commitment to our shared Corvette passion.

I fully understand the need for rules to prevent chaos and anarchy. But letting people that contribute nothing to our passion run this regional section is incomprehensible to me.

Therefore, I will withdraw.

Stephen

I agree with Alex, and I was only trying to explain EG's intent becuase I thought he wasn't coming back to CFNE anymore.

There are many ways to enjoy our Corvettes as a hobby: whether it's restoring, showing, waxing, or driving it. I respect all of them.

The recent problems here stem from the fact that many of us have met in person, and established relationships. We use this section as a continuation of those relationships. As a result, we speak to each other in a more familiar (sometimes wacky and off topic) fashion.

People who haven't participated in things, aren't expecting the things they find here. It appears that they want that kind of thing shut down, or sent to OT.

My opinions are more completely stated in the recently locked Rex Ruby thread.

As a former shop owner this is really starting to look like a soap opera.

I have made a personal and finacial comitment to this site. I normally post in the Forced Induction forum to help members as that's where my knowledge is.

I come over in the NE as to eliminate some stress not to get stressed out.

Yes there are guidelines for everything in life but as they say rules are meant to be broken and bent as well.

Lets take our skirts off and stop this garbarge and flow with the tide.

Save all the drama for you moma and if you've got issues the get some tissues!

There's lots of the same crap going on in the other forums here on the boards and I don't see threads getting locked down or members being banned.

A good example would be the A&A-ECS thread that had too many replies I can remember and well over 10,000 hits with Pro Chargers strong arm tatics. The thread was up for a long time with alot of crap that wasn't even relative to what was going on.

We have to stop being selective on what thread is allowed to be open and what is not.

It's the good old US of A which is the greatest country in the world because of allowing the people to speak anything and everything on their minds!

If threads are going to be locked then the people who are locking them then have to stop having selective memory and hold 100% true to form in all the forums on these boards.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander!!!!!

Do what you want but I've had enough of the childs play as I have better things than to post my thoughts which are just falling on deaf ears.
