Even though I missed the group gathering both at exit 63 and exit 41, we made it to the ribs place early.... Got there at 11 and was able to park right on Main St.

Met up with ctjackster (Jack) with his 65 vert and and 427 Mitch (Mitch) in his 67 427 vert. We were all parked on Main St. We are still trying to figure out how all you guys got into town into the municiple lot without us hearing you.

Good lunch and good folks all around. Sorry we didn't get to meet everyone.

Had a little run in with Westport's finest as we were leaving downtown..... Thought I was going to jail, but the officer was nice enough to give me a warning... Guess a 6000 rpm holeshot wasn't appreciated by all.....

Jack led me on a "sprited" drive on the backroads around Westport's reservoir before we headed back to SE Ct... You guys would have loved that ride. Switchbacks, corkscrews, long straights..... My blood pressure was definately up there.

My wife even took a turn driving on the way home. All in all a great day. Thanks Nabbs.

another "local" here checking in with a thanks for the set-up - I live in this town and that's the first time I ate there ( for the ribs!). With THREE (yup count em) 3 C2s I think we trippled the shark car turnout - oh, and don't forget to ask Paul (Subfixer) about how he wet his pants when, after lighting them up in 1st, 2nd and then 3rd at the second light leaving town (ok, maybe I egged him on from the front?) just as mr. law was driving by in the opposite direction (we both pulled over the minute he swung the dreaded u-ey, in our best "book me Dan-o" impression).

nothing but love from Westport's finest though . . .

Ya'll missed the 3 dinosaurs parked on Main St about 50 ft from the ribs entrance... 64, 65, 67. All verts. Too bad we didn't get any solid axle guys, then we would have had all generations represented.

Maybe next time.

Had a great time! The only downside is that it ended!! What happened to everyone at the beach? Only about 10 cars showed up!! It was cool driving there - blipping the gas pedal driving by people teeing off!!!! LOL! I'm sure I made some new friends on that golf course!!!

See you all at the cocktail party!

It was fun chatting with you yesterday. However, I have to apologize on behalf of my wife.......I hope you weren't offended when she called the "mods" to your wheels "decorations".
See you Friday!!!

Nabbs,

Sandy and I had a GREAT TIME !
Thanks for everything you did to set this up, really neat getting the CT,NJ and NY crews together at the same place. It was a plast watching you guys lighting um up into the commuter parking lot. Only wish we had a chance to meet more of the crew.

Lets make this an annual cruise.

Thanks again, Nabbs.

Dave & Sandy
