56 feet of wall up in one day, 2 guys!
Got the back wall and 1 side wall up today, plus all the plates on, of course. Of course it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so that will screw me up. Need to get the other 2 walls up tomorrow as the crane is coming wednesday that is lifting the trusses in place that are being delivered tomorrow. Steppin' and fetchin! The walls are almost 11 feet, so with the vaulted ceiling I should have about 17 feet to the inside roof line. Enough room to get an SUV up in the air on a lift. Now I need to see what's the best lift for my needs?

Mother nature kicked our butts today
It was supposed to taper off, not taper on! It's snowing like crazy, that big flake wet stuff that just won't stop. We quit about 1:30.
All the walls are up and the crane comes tomorrow. I'll lose a day with Thanksgiving, which is going to suck anyway because it's 2 years ago tomorrow,(wednesday) that my daughter Tara-Marie was killed in a car accident at 21 years young.
Anyway here's some actrion photos of 3 morons working in the storm. Gotta get a room built for my baby!

It was a long day!
Started early today, 6:30 at it. Had to scrape the top plate before the crane came so we could set the trusses.
Trip to the lumber yard
Craning the trusses
Almost All in place

All 20 trusses set in 3 hours, start to finish!
Got a lot done, wish we did more, we could have if I didnt have to spend 2 hours scraping the top plate!!!
Turkey day tomorrow. No work, need a rest, Im getting too old for this ****! But I can afford some mods doing it myself! The things you do for love.

GOOD DAY TO FREEZE ONE"S BUNS OFF!
Got All the roof sheathing on today. Tomorrow we frame out the gable ends and the storage room upstairs. Shingling a 10 pitch roof is not going to be fun!
