Got most of the windows in yesterday. The lumber yard only brought 2 of the 3 I ordered. I'll have to pick it up on the way home tomorrow. Garage door guy is coming first week of January. Cant wait to get it sealed off.
We got a ton of snow Friday. They said 4 to 8 inches. We got like 4 plus 8 inches and then 2 more on top of that.
Put the french door in the loft today, finally!
Finished the windows in the back
heres a peek of what the inside will look like!!!:
Just kidding, I stopped by LOMOTION CORVETTE IN PLEASANT VALLEY/WAPPINGERS LAST SATURDAY AND SHOT THE $H!T WITH JOHN. He's a great guy. Showed me all his inventory and gave me a T shirt. Stop by there if you are in the area.
Got the door openings trimmed today. Also did the window trim on the back windows. finsihed up the truss bracing and the hurricane clips. Should I wire and insulate before the floor is poured? I guess it won't hurt anything. What about sheetrocking?
Thanx Rex, As fast as it's happened, its not fast enough. I wish I could have had the floor poured before the winter. At least now I'll have time to do the radiant heat in the floor. I'll take my time and get it the way I really want it.
[FONT=Book Antiqua][SIZE=4][COLOR=Red]Hey Rex, the shop lights I see you have on chains hanging, any regrets? I was thinking about mounting them flat right on the ceiling so I cant whack them with crap that I'm carrying through the shop. half of my ceiling is vaulted so I dont know if that will hinder me doing that.

No regrets on that, some light fixtures cannot be flat mounted.
Hey Tom just read the thread very nice garage you built there. One thing ill add is that when you pour the floor make sure that the guy puts a hard trowel finish on it.Thats done with a trowel machine. It will give the concrete a black marble look.Dont let them just hand trowel the concrete. It will make oil spills and such a lot les of a pain.and sweeping stuff up a breeze.Merry christmas to ya.........
Thanks kevin, I have a great mud man and I will make sure he does that. Will there be a problem getting tiles to stick, or even one of those epoxy type finishes? I don't want to cause extra prep work if I can avoid it. Merry Christmas.
