Default Newsflash Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of us that travel on the LONG ISLAND Expressway. Please pay special attention to the extra police pressence. I was traveling home tonight and a section of the L I E , that I dont usually travel. I observed approx 4 seperate cars on the right hand shoulder, watching cars traveling westbound. They are out in force and out to write whatever summons they can.

If anyone out there is using a Radar Detector , please inform us of the range of the warning.

If you get pulled over, be polite and follow directions.

They were very polite to me tonight~~~~~~~~~~~~

they always sit under the overpass of Glen Cove Rd exit 39/38

and at night one car sits in the middle of the highway devider split, left of HOV lane (after the first sign for ext 34 New Hyde Park)..

As you pass Cross Island Pkwy exit (that long stretch) becareful, HWY 3 in an unmarked car hides in the bushes......shooting laser at night !!! I always see them there hiding so I slow down. I was in a Kia once and I see a red beam of light, and the first thing that came to my mind, Naabs w/ short range missle

Sunday looked the same when we were traveling into Staten Island. I just figured they are making their year quota in the first few months so they can have off the rest of the year.

They're out in force the past few days!!!
I can see the activity on the Grand Central, Van Wcyk and LIE from my balcony.....Last night, it looked like christmas lights flashing on the roads.
Hell, they were even on the Jackie Robinson pkwy this past sunday. The first time I've ever seen a patrol car there. It's usually one of the few safe "havens" for fun in the 'vette in nyc.

I've held the tahoe at 70 through those turns, obviously using both lanes...but those are fun turns, and wtf, if they miss they'll be in a cemetery anyway...

Interesting. I noticed a bunch of troopers on Ocean Pkwy. on Sunday night so I kept my speed at 65. Heading east I passed one guy with my Vette sitting by the W. Bathhouse. I slowed down to 40 where the 35MPH zone starts and I noticed him starting to follow me (I was the only car on the road). So I continued 40 around the tower and all the way past the theater where it once again changes to 55. He followed me to there and then turned around.

Most of the speed traps in the Nassau section of the LIE has been there for a while now. I think they also have dummy radar points, cause they trips my V1 off but not to full alert and I never see anybody when it happens.

After the way I drove all morning with Ed on Sunday, I got pulled over on the LIE going back to LI on Sunday night. I was going down between Kissena and Utopia and around 164st I saw him coming up real fast and got right behind me. I started to pull over b4 he turned on his lights, and got out at the Utopia exit cause I can't get on the shoulder that part of the LIE without scraping the front bumper. He let me go, but he wrote down all my info on the notepad and of the person that I know. I looked at my card again the next day, and he wrote down "90-50". I'm assuming it means 90 in a 50, but my V1 never went off so I don't know how he would've known I was going 90. And he never told me why he pulled me over the entire time.

I wasn't really flying down doing 90 the whole way. I was going 70ish most of the time, but this car got on my *** and I sped up to 80ish for a little bit and the next time I look up he was less than 10 cars away from me. I know he def. came up from behind cause they don't hide on the shoulder in that section of the LIE. But yah, he was pretty
