Default Chromer

Hi Chris,
New England Plating in East Hartford is supposed to be good....few friends have had good luck there. The ownwers name is Dean.
I also saw one right in Meriden....it was in the yellow pages but have not heard anything on them.
I just sent my alternator / Bracket out to Metron in Ill. He came recommended by a few on the forum. The owner is Ed Bunzol...nice guy.
He unassembles / reassembles / chromes and tests for $200.00.

I've been told by many that Carbon way higher than most and very slow. I've used Nu-Chrome in Fall River for a number of years. Just got back bumpers and other items for my '62. all perfect. The people there can be kind of obnoxious and don't be afraid to ask for a better price, but the work is excellent and the prices are fair. They do tons of stuff and normal time around this time of the year is probably 10-12 weeks. I've probably spend $20m with them the past 10 years and every part inlcuding diecast were perfect

You have to look around and ask questions. Some places farm out the work. The prices vary a lot depending on the type of chrome done.
The guy in Meriden is a small shop that does a lot of bike parts, East Hartford was very high compared to others.
I used Nu-Chrome 3 years ago and was not happy. I had to return bumperettes 3 times until they got it right. They're at all the big swap meets too. I dropped off all my parts in April and the deal was finally completed the following November. C3 parts- 2 rears, 1 front, set bumperettes, grill L shape pieces = $1,100
There was a place in VA that did great work for some forums members over in C3 that you might check into.
