Default Same problem here in the peoples republic of Konnecticut, George!

I have had as many as 16 in my backyard at one time! I have been "harvesting as many as I can but I can't keep up with them. These guys were right on my neighbors lawn this morning as I was leaving the house. They were 10 feet away and just stood there, like they don't give a $h!t.
There was a third one with them just out of the picture. I can take 4 with the bow and if given half a chance I will!

My house is 60 years old on 1/2 acre of land. The deer treck through the yard all night without causing any problems or threats to the roadways. The mini-mansion houses down the street, with their postage size stamp lots and "deer candy" growing in the garden are what causes the problems, you should see the eyes glowing at night when you drive through. What's funny is the folks that spend all that cash growing these sweet little flowers, then they spend all that cash putting up netting and fences to keep out the vermin. It's like buying a big bag of chocolate, leaving it out in front of an elementary school and acting surprised when it all gets eaten. These geniuses create their own problems by inviting deer into the area to munch on their landscaping. Leave your garbage can lids off for a week or 2 and watch, you be king of the raccoons.
Our landscaping is deer tolerant and they never touch our stuff. They hit the oak trees up in the fall and clean up the acorns, less work for me. Living in harmony with nature will always conquer trying to dominate it. I see a new mutant breed of super urban-deer that will be able to outsmart man and actually thrive in our environment, they're not far from that now.
I'm surprised you feel that way about housing, coming from the Jersey shore. I remember that area a special place that meant somewhere fun to go. Now, it's so clogged and congested. That's one place the developers really raped. Try driving the GSP north in the morning
But I guess as long as there's a crooked buck to make, we'll keep ignoring zoning laws, wetland restrictions, flood planes and sprawl concerns.

You cannot destroy them. You must accept the fact that they are superior and follow their leadership as such.

Thats it, I just changed my mind, after seeing that sneer, how deer(pun) he look at me like that, burn the woods down, and when they come out, easy shooting. If they don't make it out, already cooked.

Give me a home, where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope wreak George's car.

The "prize" you get when you harvest deer is very lean meat that is very tasty. Excellent when cooked with garlic.
