Could it be true?
I was just watching the morning weather report on the Today Show and meteorologist Chris Cimino predicts a much milder than normal winter. It has something to do with the Jet Stream being further north than usual this year.
Sounds like it could mean a lot more Sunday morning rides ahead in the coming months.
Maybe I won’t have to put my babies away for the winter after all. The furthest I’ve gone in the last several years is New Years weekend.
I sure hope the weatherman is right this time.

I wish I could make it, but I have my list of things to do from the warden (so much for being retired), and a dinner party to go to tonight.
Hopefully I won't be too hung over for the morning run to Captree.
I was thinking about taking the GTO for a change, but it looks like it might be a top down day.

I'm assuming from Allentown, PA ...take RT 80 to George Washington BR., follow the signs to Cross Bronx Expressway, then look for signs to Throggs Neck Bridge, cross the bridge (stay to the right) Cross Island Pkwy...... stay in the left lane (about 10 min), look for Southern State Pkwy, once on it,,, keep going till you see siogns for Meadowbrook Pkwy South /Jones beach.............stay on Meadowbrook till you see Jones beach........that will be Ocean Pkwy E, stay on it to the end....you will reach entrance to Captree state park...

from George Washington Bridge to Captree estimate one hour, and to GWB hour and thirty minutes......you would have to be at Captree at 8AM , if you get there at 10, it will be all over
