When you mentioned your family history - it seemed to me that you have it narrowed down.
Good thing you found out about that tire. I can only imagine what would have happened if that had let go somewhere like mid track at etown.

Well I was on the Merritt when it happened. The DIC let me know at 25psi's and I watched it - by the time I got home it was at 19psi's - When I took it out today I had to use Anthony's compresser to put some air in it since I was completely flat - 0 air in it. I thought I popped the seal somehow but when they took the tire off and put it in water well there it was - I shoulda taken a pic of it. You wouldn't believe where it was - right at the tread and sidewall - AND TO TOP IT OFF THE WATER PUMP IS GOING ON THE SUNFIRE!!!!!! Its leaking antifreeze when I shut the car down from the pump - I am really honestly freaking out. I have 2 broken cars
Ok so I am looking at the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position -
if I get rid of the runflats. If I get runflats I am going with the OEM's but I havta convince Anthony they are not worth it. Tire Rack has the OEM's for $415.00 each for the rears. So input please - yes we went thru this before. If I get the bridgestones I am going all around
I can get you a high rise hood for cheap! Like less than half price, I think it's an RK Sport hood, also a rear spoiler from Carravaggio and the front canards.
