I do know that top fuel cars and funny cars make between 6,000 and 7,000 Horespower and that it takes more power than a corvette stock can put out just to turn the supercharger so I am guessing it is pretty accurate. They go as fast as 330MPH in the quarter mile in about 4.5 seconds.
If you ever get the chance to see them in person you will never forget it. I copied this from over in the drag racing section.
They tested doug herberts top fuel car on a sizemagraph (spelling bad but it measures earthquakes) and it registered 3.9 on the richter scale
