What are they worth exactly? 1/4 mile reduction? I'm also bagging the sway bar(I'll just drive easy in the turns..no Michael Schumacher moves) to help hook it a little harder. Ralph/JP/Mack? what did they shave off,and any chance I can borrow them for a few runs. Do I have to use longer studs,,,or will they go right on?
JD, it is going to depend on the weight of your stock tires/rim vs the skinnies. My stock wheels are about 55lbs. The skinnies with the radials i'm using right now are about 25lbs (the drag tires are about 3-4 lbs lighter). Anyway, thats a 30lbsx2=60lbs savings. Rule of thumb is for every 100lbs you shed a tenth, however given that this is unsprung rolling weight (worst kind) the savings should be a little more....figure .08-.10 off your ETs.
You shouldn't need longer studs. You might need a small spacer depending on the size of you calipers/rotors. I don't, but JP does.

Re: Skinnies (JD 90 383)
I don't know how much they saved.
My car now (new package) is 60 lbs heaver than the old package.
I think what hepled me the most was the 100 extra horsepower.
