Support the troops update
As many of you know my daughter Kelsey hosted a "Support the troops" drive a few months ago to collect much needed supplies for the combat hospital in Iraq. Many of you came to the event and donated lots (literally over a ton) of stuff. Kelsey received the Email below last night from the Capt that runs the hospital.
Thank you all for your support.
Best regards
Mark
Kelsey,
I am the Task Force Commander for the 86th Combat Support Hospital. We
recently received your care package and I wanted to personally take a
moment to thank you for your generosity. It truly means a lot to all of
our Soldiers and patients to know that there are people willing to take
their time and resources to provide for complete strangers half a world
away. While we firmly believe that the Army is a fantastic organization
which provides for the basic needs of our Soldiers, it is the kindness
of people like you that provides for our morale and spiritual needs. I
know that the games, sheets, and toiletries you sent will be greatly
appreciated by the patients who stay here at the hospital.
Thank you, again, for your generosity and God bless you.
Sincerely,
JON MESSENGER

Thanks for making me cry
In all seriousness, I know that you are immensely proud of Kelsey for putting that all together, as are we. It was our pleasure to be apart of it!
