No-salt!
So. I took my vert out for a toot today...figured the rainhad washed the salt from the last icy morning maintenance. True, the roads were free from the dreaded rust starter, but, FLOODING!!! The detours really sucked...mostly standing in traffic while the cop on duty took his nap at the intersection where some traffic control would have been great......The water draining across the roads made a real mess of the MSG. Had to wash the car down when I got home, and it was about 31 degrees. (Made for cold fingers, but a warm heart.) Enjoy this winter and be safe. DAve

Around here they put down salt at the first hint of black ice, it washed away in the torrential rains of the last two days, but now it's all back as they deal with the refreeze. Like every year I ended up going into storage without planning it, so to speak: one drive before all this mess turns out to be the last of the season, then it's on with the battery tender and wait. Gotta love New England!
Dave took the car out today the roads down in Colchester and surrounding area were good. Only problem I couldn't put down the top at the temp. reading of 22.
Nice dry, free of salt and sand, roads in Falmouth this weekend. However, the car remained outside overnight and was covered in frost at 8:30AM Sunday morning.

Good to learn there's still some (foolish) drivers out there, There's usually enough good-road days to keep her charged and used 'til spring when the REAL cleaning happens. (Ct. keeps the roads pretty well, not like the "old days".)
I took my 89 out Sunday to add some more dirt to it. Had some fun spinning some more rubber off my old tires. Stayed out of the flood waters in Simsbury. Next time I have time and decent weather I'll wash it and put it to sleep for winter.

There was snow forecast so I got the studded tires and chains on.
I am sure traction will not be a problem. It is just that going on long trips it gets a bit noisy, plus I can't use the nitrous very much. Comoooon spring.

I can't John....it's in the shop. Right rear chain came flying off at about 130 and went thru the gas tank and bottle. It was ugly but it gives me a chance to do some rear end modifications. Nothing like a nice lookin' rear end.
