Default Boston Area Vettes

Are there any events planned to get together? We've finally settled in after moving from the midwest and we're eager to meet some other car fanatics.

I don't even know when the weather clears up enough out here to really get the cars out, but we'd even be up for a lunch or something just to meet up.

Thanks,
Sean

Welcome to the Boston area. I'm about 50 miles south of there. No car shows, meets or cruises at this time of year. There might be the occassional "gathering" for coffee but most of the Vettes are asleep for the Winter. I'll drive mine as long as the roads are clear of salt, sand and snow. We get snow in this area as late as April but we could see better conditions in mid-March. Keep checking the Northeast Forum and hang in there!

If you are really into different cars, you must go to Gilette Stadium on a thursday night. It is every other so you need to pay attention.

One night last year there were over 500 cars in the parking lot and when I left they were still coming in.

On the left side of the page, cruise nite, click on and it will take you to some pics.

Welcome to Taxachusetts!!

Yeah this time of year is pretty dead unless it is for club meetings or getting together at a bar. Come springtime things kick into high gear.

I think the Southeastern Regional Vo-Tec high school in Easton still does their every other Thursday car show thursday evenings. It is pretty huge. From Waltham it is probably a ~45 minute ride down 128 & 24 if ( hah!!!!) there are no traffic slowdowns.

Keep your eyes open for GSDivas posting of the car shows and events for corvettes after the regional meeting next month. There are cruise nights and shows all summer long. Various Vette clubs too have monthly meetings and events...keep checking back and you will see whats going on...good luck

Similar boat here - been here awhile but just got the vette ~1 year ago. Waiting for the weather to clear to join everyone at some events.

Yes, I'll be posting all known Corvette events around Feb. 15th so stay tuned. I will be attending an all-club meeting in NH that morning and will have details and dates about the upcoming shows, cruise nights, etc.

bterwilliger, where are you from?

When it comes to quality work, it's not the money that counts! Call him and ask...he IS the best, especially on older Vettes.

VT originally - that's where the vette is sleeping for the winter. We live in Revere now (a Kelly's meet and coastal cruise?)

Well we'll be working on the other car, the 04 GTO, and pulling the transmission (again) if anyone wants to drink beer and watch to get their car fix.

On saturdays there are ussually a few Vette's hanging around the shop.

Also if the GTO is having clutch problems I have a SPEC PT clutch at the shop with under 500 miles FS.

Hey Don, actually was thinking about you yesterday. Found a hole in the H-pipe, and some really nasty welds. I don't weld so I may need to bring it down and have that piece replaced with a new piece of pipe. At the least, have the hole closed up.
