In this case I have to agree with the russian midget.
We left the automakers to operate on their own, and they essentially killed themselves. We have 2 options: Let them get gobbled up by Toyota (which will cause the flag waving conservatives to go nutz) or Socialize them and cut the fat. Can't wait for the corvette to become a rear engine exotic from Europe.

I don't see people in Switzerland, Italy, Neatherlands and other Socialism countries out of work and in huge debts...oh and lets not forget free health insurance and 2 months of vacation time.

Socialized health care is crap , and with the execption of Switzerland ( by far the richest per captia country ) , the standard of living in EU is a fraction of what it is here . Houses and aparments are much smaller , more poor ghettos compared to what we have ect .
And socialized health care sucks , I know over a dozen Europeans who have come to the US for health car .
Socialism is BAD BAD BAD ... its been proven over and over through history to be a failing proposition .
