gees, now they rent guns. Guns should be illegal for private citizens to own. Thats why there is so much people getting killed. Guns kill people! When the founding papachulos wrote the constitution, "right to bear arms" there were no telephones to dial 911, that made sence back then. In todays modern times guns are used for robbing people, killing ex-wives/girlfriends, road rage and mass shooting sprees. In my homeland, the former USSR, guns are reserved for military & the police. President Obama should make it a federal law banning private citizens to bear arms. Caught with a gun, mandatory 5yrs in jail.....and since Obama is clearing out Guantanamo Bay, there will be plenty of prison beds Oh, and those that want to hunt use a bow and arrow.

You know, I hate to say this, but Ed does have a point. The original constitution, and Bill of Rights was written in a completely different era. Don't get me wrong, I do own guns, but to be honest there are too many out there, and there are too many crazy people who can get them.

No matter how passionate you may be about getting guns off the streets, the reality is that the bad guys will ALWAYS be capable of getting guns.
I happen to agree with your last statement. Let's go back to the days of the wild west and let everyone have guns. The good guys will always outnumber the bad guys and crime and criminals can be dealt with by the good guys. Poof ... no more bad guys!!!

Well, all I can say is that "at least he can read". Dubya had a hard time with that. I'm kind of tired of his" political ads " disguised as political addresses though just like you.

I kinda like your idea about using a bow and arrow for hunting - better yet......let the "sport" hunters use their bare hands.........now THAT'S hunting for sport. Either that or start arming the bears with guns too! Poor damn animals

States where it is illegal to own a firearm have the highest crime rate. THAT is a fact! CRIMINALS will not go after people who can and WILL defend themselves. RESPONSIBLE gun owners should not be punished for what the CRIMINALS do. If everyone was allowed to own a firearm there would be a lot less crime - ITS BEEN PROVEN 
Austrailia banned firearms from the country - their crime rate went thru the roof!!
