I need a room for the weekend of Carslisle, Looking to stay Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights. Can anyone help me???? I thought I had 2 rooms booked, but appearantly only 1 was bookd. I need a room with 2 beds. Thanks.
I was able to book some recently over in mechanicsburg, not too far of a drive. FYI, the two super-8's in Carlisle sometimes have rooms but are dumps, each had given me smoking rooms for non-smoking reservations too. Good luck! -Dan
We stay at the Super 8 in Chambersburg/Scotland for $59 a nite. A little further out, but better than spending the $$ for those overpriced closer hotels. And it's a straight shot in on 81.
Call the
Harrisburg Hilton
One North Second Street
Harrisburg, PA 17101
(717) 233-6000 or for reservations call 1-800-HILTONS
Rooms are $161/night after AAA discount; normally $169
They have indoor parking and you can walk the strip for every thing.

Have you looked at the hotels in Shippensburg? Cuts your ride in half. One is called the Shippen Place Inn. Relatively new, pretty nice. The other is a Best Western just off of I81 at exit 10 (at least it used to be called exit 10).

Not really. Carlisle to Shippensburg takes 26 miles, Carlisle to Scotland is 30 miles. So it's six of one, half a dozen of the other. And like I said, Scotland is a straight shot out 81. And only takes 20 - 25 minutes. Plus the hotel is new and nice and for $59. a nite, I might find cheaper, but I'm not staying in a roach motel.
And for anyone who has reservations at the Ramada, they've been sold. It's now an Economy Inn. You might want to check your reservations to make sure they'll honor them. They do have rooms available though.
