I took the Vette to the dealer yesterday to get the clip installed. In the afternoon I also took it to get something to eat. On the way home the front wheels locked up doing 45 MPH going straight. Now I afraid to drive it. I called the dealer and am taking it back today. I've had 11 new Chevies since 1978 and haven't had any problems like I'm having with my 05 Corvette. I don't know if I'll ever feel confortable driving it anymore. I'll just have to see what they find today.

I have been driving Corvettes for 38 years. My new 05 Corvette was an absolute POS. GM ended up buying mine back. I did not have AH problems but just about anything else you can think of. Good luck with yours

Codes? Ralph? I can scan your car (I have a reader) and would suggest you bookmark www.absfixer.com as they can repair your EBCM module at a much lower cost than the dealership. If you are still within your GMPP window, that would be a route of repair also. Lemme know if I can be of any help to ya.
There is a recall for C6's that involve the exact situation you encountered.
Brakes unexpectedly locking up. Lucky it was both fronts as some have reported (even in the NE section) of only one, causing the car to pull.
Take it to a dealer and get the recall fix done.
If you read my first post, I did have the clip installed by the dealer. It happened after the clip was installed. Yesterday I went back to the dealer. The service dept said all they could do was to check it to see if the clip was installed correct. They said it was, so on the way home the front brakes locked up again.

Diagnostic trouble code will point you in the correct direction Ralph. If not a dealership, get Amco, Autozone, Advance or someone similar to scan your car for the diagnostic repair code and you can go from there. Whether the problem is the Steering Wheel Position Sensor, or the Electronic Brake Control Module you will never know until someone scans the car for diagnostic codes. This sounds serious enough that I'd recommend you GetRdone ASAP. (Linky--->)http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ng-system.html

Sorry, clip installed didn't mean anything to me, didn't know what the actual fix was. Would have made more sense to say after the recall fix was done.
So if I understand you, it happened a second time? If so, is it repeatable in any way?
As Ed suggested, scan for codes, although I doubt any would show up for what you describe. Bad EBCM would be my only guess.
