I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you should know: As time goes by, you will realize with ever greater clarity the egregious error you have made by removing the faux brick. Anyone who knows anything about classic kitchens will tell you that you have dramatically reduced the value of your home, AND foregone the meteoric increase in the value of your home that is virtually assured with classicly styled period pieces in their originally installed state like that. Your error in judgement is similar to giving away a '69 ZR1 convertible to your brother-in-law in 1973 because you didn't feel like buying the gas for it.
You are kidding right? That brick was ugly IMO.
