Hi guys, I hang out in the C1 C2 section but I am here visiting you guys looking for some HELP. You see I just bought myself another 54 Corvette for Christmas (I figured know one else would buy it for me) but my problum is that it is in Manalapan NJ. and everything I see on the weather channel says that they are going to get hit up the east cost with a Blizzard. I need your help letting me know the weather and road conditions out your way. I will be coming from central Indiana. I was to leave Monday morning but now it looks like Tuesday morning before I leave. This will give them time to clear the roads and clean the highways of ice and snow. I will be pulling my 20' enclosed trailer so I don't need ice, snow nor high winds. Any HELP you guys could give a fellow Corvette Forum member would be great. Thanks in advance. Mike
I don't see any reason why all the major roads won't be cleared by then. You may just want to check with person you are picking it up from that the local roads are clear in Manalapan. Good thing it is in enclosed trailer so you don't get it covered in salt spray. Good luck
It is snowing here already in CT, and the storm is coming from our south. I just heard we are expecting up to 24".
I can understand you being excited to get the "new" 54, (congrats) but
IMO may be a good time to wait several days!
Looks like alot of snow and wind today into tomorrow. Tuesday and beyond look like clearing and warmer temps. (low 40's). you should be ok by Tues. Good luck .
looks like they will have all day Monday to clear the roads.
Tonight
Periods of snow. Blowing snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times. Total snow accumulation of 12 to 16 inches. Very windy with lows in the lower 20s. North winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.
Monday
Snow likely in the morning. Little or no additional snow accumulation. Very windy with highs in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.
Tuesday
Mostly sunny and brisk. Highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.
Towards the latter part of the coming week the weather will comparatively real nice, sunny and mid to high 40's. The only problem will be slushy, wet roads from all the quick melting. Good luck on your trip.
You guys in the Northeast are great. I knew I could count on the Forum guys to help me out. We will be leaving the Indianapolis Indiana area about 3:00am Tuesday morning. I hope to be in Manalapan NJ about 4 to 5 Pm Tuesday afternoon. I am keeping an eye on the weather Channel. Again Thanks to all who have replyed to my request.
Hi Mike, I think you should delay your trip till summer. I'll volunteer to keep your 54 in my garage during the spring. I'll only track it two or three times a week just to keep everything lubed and working. On a serious note, you'll be fine, good luck with the purchase.

George, thanks for wanting to help me out in storing the car but taking it to the track may be kind of hard. You see the engine and trans are out of the car. But I do want to thank you for your offer. We still have about 4 or 5" on the ground here in central Indiana but all the roads are clear. The snow we have has been on the ground for a few days. No new snow lately thank goodness.
