I'm in the northern part of Sussex county. No exits up here. Route 80, the closest highway, is 23 miles away. Several miles north of the Chatterbox for those familiar with the area. With all the hills and curves it's a great area to drive a Vette.

I just visited NJ a few days ago on vacation; does that count? Love the Turnpike; made for a speedy, convenient trip.

Default Jersey Meet

Sounds like there may be enough of us to have a meet and greet here in good old NJ.

Any interest and or ideas ?

The Shore sounds good, but where ?

Went to Asbury Park the other day, was surprised how nice it was. The board walk was clean, nice crowd. the Pavilion had places to eat, and Parking, although not free, was plentiful. I think it was dollar an hour.

To us Jerseyites: exit 100 B.....

Interesting. I took the wife to Seaside Park and Asbury Park about five or six years ago. Seaside was as I remembered it; busy and lots of fun. I was embarrassed when we got to Asbury. Four square blocks behind the boardwalk area were leveled with the exception of the Stone Pony. They were busy restoring the theater and working on the boardwalk but the building at the South end looked like a scene from Logan's Run when they got to Washington D.C.. Vines growing up over everything and totally dilapidated. I'm glad to hear it is back up and going again.

I would try to make a meet in NJ if we are going to have one. If you aren't stuck on the shore being a meeting place how about Mastori's Diner in Bordentown? Intersection of 206 & 130. My wife LOVES NJ food.

Live in South (Gloucester County), work in North (Woodbridge) summers in Brigantine.

Some parts of the country are definitely nicer, but I can't see living anywhere else.

I'm in Fords, part of Woodbridge Township, Exit 11 on the Turnpike,
Exit 127 on the Parkway.
A shore meet and gathering sounds great.

Default Devil in the Details

Good responses. I am new to corvettes and to organizing this type of gathering. Just to be sure, what I had in mind was:

setting a date, a time, a place where we could gather to meet fellow New Jerseyites.

two choices: a Jersey Shore setting or a Restaurant. Of course we could try a restaurant down the the shore.

thinking weekend is best time as not everyone is retired like some of us: This makes a Shore location a bit harder due to seasonal activity.

Location should be as central as possible, so I am thinking somewhere near exit 100 on GSP.

Any nice State Parks in the area. It would be nice to have a location where one can take some nice photos too.

Still gathering ideas. All are welcome.

suggest time, date, day of the week, location. We can then try to agree on when and where and just invite everyone to show up.

I'll try to keep count of how many want to meet.

A lot of people would vastly surprised if they were to visit upper New Jersey counties, North of Route 80 is a wonderland of mountains and scenic roads that cut through the rock hills like Rt.22 that takes you through rocky hills and tunnels and the very suburb landscapes.
