The origins of EZ Pass were SUPPOSED to be valid from Maine to Florida, but some states rejected the plan and implemented (copied!) one of their own versions. Florida was one of the 1st states to do so, and screwed up the deal that would have benefited all travelers along the east coast (along with each of the states!) It's the "Me first" greed that has permeated the world that we live in.

Also heard rumors that the NJ State Police are looking into using EZ Pass to issue speeding tickets.
They would time how long it takes you to get from one toll booth to the next, and average your speed.
Anyone else heard of this, or is this just another scare tactic?
