Connecticut tag ... NY EZPASS
Did I ever tell you about the time my old Millenium Yellow Z06 with the EZPass tag couldn't get through a gated toll because the damn EZPass battery was dead

The origins of EZ Pass were SUPPOSED to be valid from Maine to Florida, but some states rejected the plan and implemented (copied!) one of their own versions. Florida was one of the 1st states to do so, and screwed up the deal that would have benefited all travelers along the east coast (along with each of the states!) It's the "Me first" greed that has permeated the world that we live in.

They would time how long it takes you to get from one toll booth to the next, and average your speed.
Anyone else heard of this, or is this just another scare tactic?
Here's the Snopes.com read. Half way through the read it states that NO state has implemented such a practice. It may very well be something of disparity of treatment as the folks that don't use EZ Pass wouldn't be subjected to the same vulnerability. http://www.snopes.com/autos/law/ezpass.asp
