I've been opening 10+ a day 6 days a week since April 5th or so... I open mine the week of memorial day because of all the crap from the trees by it. I actually opened on memorial day last year and swam in it that night because it opened crystal clear.
I open mine a week or two before memorial day. If your pool is green i assume you have a permeable cover like a loop loc or similar. You have to shock the pool late in fall and early in march ( while closed) to keep it clean. If you have a solid cover ( the one wilth bags holding down the sides) then you shouldn’t need to do anything other than keep the cover on and make sure it doesn't have any holes
**** water bag covers. If you close it clean it opens clean. period. I sell and install them all. There's a reason mine has a mesh on it. (This is my hating opening and closing 14 something a day bias... when you see it all... you see it all. Especially the jerkoffs who don't keep the water pumped off the covers....)
I just ordered an above ground pool for the kids.....should be fun
Just curious, back ordered? Had a few friends looking and they're allegedly hard to come by at the moment. Demand is high according to my vendors. I'm curious if they're yanking peoples chains for more money or not.
freaking a-hole who closed my pool took the other part of the ball valve and blow down line, and of course you cant just buy the half , so a repipe needs to be done'very upset indeed

I got a whole box of old valves... got a picture of what you have old? If I have one around I'll mail it.

the pool place I went was not lying about the backorder but I am not surprised as vacations this year may be questionable so pools are becoming ever popular....I ordered mine online and got a great deal...should be here in 7 to 10 days

Gotcha. We were pretty swamped with new construction too but we kept turning people away because no one would deliver permits. Towns just started approving stuff from January this week. Thanks.
the ball valve with red handle had a piece that connected to it with the other part of the union which went into a elbow than a straight piece then another elbow and a small piece where the blow off hose connects, aww yes he also stole my 50' hose which was a really good one
gauges. Chuck A;1601515674]thanks but i can get the valves its just that i need to remove the old valve ,and then can put a new one the other piece of ball valve is missing [/QUOTE]
Gotcha. I'm surprised you can't get just the end bits, we stock most of them but that is jandy I believe which we don't carry a lot of in that style. I do not have one of those around sadly.
I didn't understand what you meant by blow off until I saw it was a cartridge filter. That makes sense now lol. I've only worked on a hand full of pools with a cartridge so I forget.
When we take off things like that we put them with the cover bag and rest of the parts like ladders and handrails and what not. If the backwash fits we actually put it in the super pump basket with all the plugs from the pump housing and filter. Keeps everything hidden from those customers who like to lose parts over the winter.
