Caught a show on the food channel a few months ago all about ice cream. One of the places featured was JERSEY FREEZE. Looked like a nice place to cruise to, but I don't remember them mentioning where in N. J. Probably got up to get a  and missed it. Anyone got a clue? Is it worth a ride?
Thanks for the info. I've been trying to locate this place for months. We're booked for weekends the rest of this month (leaving for 50th Aniv. on 6-21) but will be anxious to get around the rest of the summer, if the sun ever shines. There's a great chicken bar-b-q place near Bethel, PA (Kauffmans Chicken Ranch) with lots of parking and a mini-golf that could be a consideration for later also.

I've heard of Kauffman's never been , but i heard its pretty cool, there also a place called Johnny's Hot Dogs in Buttzville, that looked cool - some nice roads there for cruising. If you want plan a night @ Jerset freeze, I think there is a good amount of freehold-local people that could make it during the week - if they are open late.
I go to Jersey Freeze all the time, it is located at the junction of Route 9 and Route 33 in Freehold, across from Barnes & Noble, Chili's and just down teh road from Freehold Raceway and also down a bit from teh Freehold Raceway Mall, just south of the STS tire center which is just south of Throckmorton St which leads to Englishtown.
If you head east from Jersey Freeze, you will end up in Freehold where they usually have a Cruise Night on Thursdays I believe.
Frank, Just an observation but Janet and I both saw this and noticed that you are the "In the Know Guy When it Comes to Food in Jersey"!  :steering: :flag
Re: JERSEY FREEZE??????????????????? (Eric Fischer)
The main parking lot is closed off to all but pre 77 cars. the small parking lot had a gate installed over the winter and is closed(that is where the newer cars parked. Main st fills up starting at 4pm so its almost impossinle to get a parking spot. If you want to drive around in circles all nite without stopping its great, I just have a LARGE problem with being excluded from parking in the main lot when my car is prettier will blow the doors off of 99% of the trailer queens parked there and for my investment could probably have bought any two cars parked in the main lot. FLAME AWAY
Re: JERSEY FREEZE??????????????????? (XGRANDSPORTX)
Alan, I agree, if you don't mind the slow cruising in traffic, I always end up parking in one of the bank parking lots down the street and walking to the main area.

Cruise nite is the last Thursday of the month in downtown Freehold. Got to be the best in South Jersey.
