If it was split up I think we would post more here...............then again most of the NE group doesn't even visit the Forum anymore. :(

As a side note, CT. is unique in that a majority of the people living north of rt 84 and east of rt. 9 are Red Sox fans (including me) while the rest of the state are Yankmee fans.

Hmmm........not really sure on the point I'm trying to make there. I guess if I does get divided CT is the state which could go either way.
That's it then. The NE section will now be split into two new sections

1-Yankee fans

2- Red Sox fans

I'm just glad that when discussing the possible 'mid-atlantic' section, everyone's remembered poor little Delaware! We usually get no respect...which should be saved for NJ. :lolg:

Most New England guys hardly post here, I see more NE activities posted in Off Topic than anywhere else.

I can pass the word along, but I seriously doubt it will happen.
Thanks for giving a try Frank, but would you be a little more enthusiastic about it? The NE CREW is alive and well and posting, but we are a bit scattered about this place. Just watch how active a new section for CT, RI, MA, VT, NH & ME would be if created. Come on Frank!! I'll even volunteer to be the New England Mod!! :flag Thanks again!

I agree NJ, DE, and PA should be together and New England on it's own.

Blah those states suck...

We need NJ, CT, NY...those aren't New England imo. New England is MA, RI, NH and ME. Those other states are mid-atlantic...

I think it would make sense to break out the NorthEast a little bit.

Going with NJ, NY, & PA would be one group and the New England states the other group would make the most sense.

If ME NH VT MA RI want to secede from the Northeast section its OK with me!
But what could we call them? :D
The New England States mentioned above (along with CT), ARE the Northeast! All others, what would we call THEM? Southern-Northeast?

How about "New England", "Tri-State" and "Mid-Atlantic"?

I'm going to guess that the volume wouldn't necesarily justify the extra db storage space and app resources. What about a compromise? Maybe we could do some sorting using tags in the thread message like [NYC], [MA] etc?
Maybe the mods could really enforce this? That would make things a little easier at least.
