Frank, it was great when JP did the calendar for sure, he really did a great job, but I am sure it took a lot of time on his part, as you said I too have missed a lot of Vette shows, as well as other car club shows, I have an advantage having my customers tell me about them, of course some times it after the fact. I guess we have to start getting this info to post by late winter or early spring, all the members here can help by getting this info from their local cars clubs and posting it, that will help.
Yes that was great. I am not proposing that John do that again but that we ALL do our part so we are all as informed as we were in the past.
For those that are suggesting that I go to another forum or start my own. Thank god everybody does not have that view or this place may not exist today, or if it did, it would be just a mediocre forum like all the rest.
Like I said in a previous post I used to do that. I mostly added to the calendar using publications like Cruise New and Satchells Pages. Plus that was when I was able to be on the computer a lot at work. Most events that members actually participated in were events that were created here. :
Satchells Pages was an excellent resource, where can we go to get it or is this something we can subscribe to?

If everybody just posted what they know about we would be pretty well informed. The earnest is on all of us to do our part.

Believe it or not John, I don't walk to these events. Even when I was showing I drove it there. None of my cars have ever been trailered.
I actually enjoy racing, cruising and an occasional show and I know alot of other people also do, so I am unsure why you try to segregate us. Are you participating in the Corvette Challenge this weekend? Maybe we should settle this on the track.
Just to clear something up, since the written word can not be articulated as well as the spoken word. This post was intended to improve upon this forum not slam it. If people put as much effort into posting events as they did being defensive we would know about every event in the northeast.
not sure how many actual watch the calendar (I know I don't) vs. relying on others to post about events, but i'd suggest maybe we get a thread going that has everything happening in a month? Basically a week before the start of a month, someone would post a thread (maybe Mr. Mojo can make it a sticky) that list all upcoming events in the upcoming month, and then as other members get new information abouth other events happening, they can just post the details in the "month" thread, and if any sidetalk happens, maybe start a new thread.
