Just to let you know(if it hasn;t already been mentioned) April 24th is the Spring Skyline Cruise beginning in Front Royal,VA. This is an important event, we lost our dear brother Hogs on Christmas Eve and I'm sure we're going to do something special for him on this cruise. It would mean a lot to him, his wife and myself as well as Jim S and Jack Da Roofer if we could honor him on this cruise.
So if you could find it in your heart to change the date and join us, that would be great.
I'm with you: planning something 5 months away does seem insane, then again nobody has ever proven me sane. In all seriousness, I'm just trying to drum up some interest for the NY-area car folks. We all work poopy 9-5 jobs, and it's nice to have something to look forward to. We can't all get aggression out like FJB does: putting on his pink heels and hitting the JJ Center
Maybe between now and then we could still hook up and kill an hour or two and get a few laughs in.

It's not insane, most events are planned a year in advance. We already have the Cruise In lined up, Spring and Fall Skyline Drive,Corvette At Carlisle, all of our ECS Corvette Challenges, two of my Delaware Crab Cruises(details coming soon).
OK, I'm cleared, I'll be there, representin' Nawth Jerzee in the hizzous!!! ( getting lingo together to relate to the ricer/fart can exhaust crowd!)OK, Nabbs, signed into the site! Eyes awaitin!
You're right there is never enough time and preplanning 5 months out is always good. This years Skyline is going to be special and that date was set before this one. If you would consider moving this date you may get more of a turn out and there is certainly enough time to adjust this event's date. We were pretty interested in doing this run but for us Skyline is more important if they remain on the same day. If the date doesn't get changed we'll look to make the next one
Jimmy -- make sure you post up in that thread I linked.
FJ -- What's IADs number again? 1800-COP-SLEEPINGONTHEJOB?
Mojo -- thanks for the tip on the skyline date. I don't think you have to worry about people not attending the skyline or vice versa, most of the people who are coming are from the NY area and wouldn't be going down south. Remember this isn't just a Corvette or CF thing. As such if I move one, two weeks ahead or sooner, I will most likely trample on some other club thing (lotus run about etc). In short, when you do these things you pick a date and stick with it. Best of luck!

I totally agree. I want to do the skyline cruise for the first time this year but am really looking foward to the NYC Sring run as well. We should change the date, even if its just one week before or after so that those of us who want to go to both, can, and we get the most turnout possible.
BTW, F.J.B., didn't see your post about my birthday, it was really fun, thanks for asking, got to spend it with my loved ones, including the vette of course. Next year, I might have a big party for the big 3-0. If I do, you're all invited!!
