Wow we are really starting to get some interest Nabbs.
Nabbs I think I can get hold of a digital camera for a few weekends so maybe we take the truck out and see if we can lay out an exact route and a place to start.
Just a thought - In front of South Street Seaport would be a great place to line everyone up in the morning. I would think nothing is going on during a weekend morning and if so they are pretty much done with the fish stuff early morning. The road is long and straight easily can fit a ton of cars. I have even seen police cars lined up there for movie shots...
See if you can check that out.

South Street at dawn would be really cool...the sun comes up behind the river and the ships. Maybe run from there to Liberty Park, lunch somewhere fun, maybe somewhere on Staten Island, then home.

Good point. I noticed your 4x4 had no problems...
It is almost hard to believe that NJ does a better job with their roads then NY, but of course we pay for those roads every time we get on the turnpike or garden state...
