I wanna thanks Richie, Mike, Carrie, and everyone else on Friday. WHAT a blast
Well since the dawn of time I have told Richie, Steve, Mike, terrence, etc... that I will one day be out to 1/4 race but everyone thought I was bluffing. Well needless to say this past friday I finally had the oppertunity to play with the Big Boys and Girl. And I must say WHAT A BLAST. My first run of the night was a whooping 12.2@123. And Carrie was KICKING my ***. I larned real quick that the woman can drive and drive really good. As we pressed through the night I think I lined up with her and Richie 8 times, losing every damn race. HAHA I muust say in that one evening I learned more about driving then I have in the past 4 years. After each race everyone was talking to me, giving me suggestions and it began to pay off. By the end of the night I started backing up 11.6X runs. richie came over and made my night when he looked at me and said "finally opened up the bottle" I smiled and said "Nope no nitrous tonight" and showed him the main line coiled under my pass seat floor mat. At that very moment I realized maybe the Bling Machine is a runner. I have worked hard on the car and learned alot both personally and mechanical needless to say I am really starting to enjoy this car. Best run of the night was a 11.62@ 124mph. My 60' was 1.88 so with some work I think I can get a low 11.50-11.45. Thanks again again everyone on Friday that was the best time I have had since owning a Corvette

I have always said that driving your car is a lot more fun then waxing, polishing and Q-tipping the wheels.

HAHA Thanks guys. There is going to be a long learning oppertunity here. I took so much in on Friday and it slowly started to pay off. I want to get booted without Nitrous.

Congrats Teddy How does it feel being one of the big dogs ? Now stop playing with your car and enjoy it more. I hope in a month or two I will see you at the track with my new toy

Jerome, thanks but I think I still have a ways to go. At 11.60 it is fast but I am not happy. I have a hell of a nitrous kit that will surely take me where I want to go, but I dont plan on using it, until I can make this a 11.49 (niner fan so it sounds good. HAHA) car. That is me dropping 1.3 off my best which I think is totally doable with a 1.88 60'.
Carrie- Girl or not you can fricking drive. I did not see a single missed shift and when I was banging gears you would walk telling me your shifts were indeed faster. You are indeed a drag racer. HAHA
