Default Jacoby Ford

Well got some good news, Jacoby Ford going to play in the season finally. We need to win and Denver to lose for us to win the AFC West and get a home game for the wild card. But to go anywhere in the playoffs we need a stout defense, which we don't have so I think will be one and done, but would like to win the West.

WOW.... I really can't believe the Broncos won the division... the Raiders choked away their AFC West Title BIG TIME... now their going to be stuck with Palmer for several years and have only 2 draft picks next year (5th and 6th round)... they are going to really pay dearly in the future with no draft picks

Their D was suppose to be a area of strength this year......

Jackson talks big but he doesn't coach. The last play before halftime was pathetic. They did the exact thing at the end of a game a couple games ago in a loss but the pass was dropped. You think they would learn from their past experiences. Future looks bleak. Gotta get rid of Routt.

I've never been a big fan of Hue Jackson... he's sorta like the West Coast version of Rex Ryan BUT without the results.

Default Defense

Get a new defensive coordinator and get rid of some defensive players who get more penalties than plays and maybe switch to a 3-4 and I think we should be good for next year. Offseason training and bringing in some new players to shore up the defense should be are focus for next year. Happy New Years to everyone here on Corvette Forum.

Penalties have always been the back breakers of the Raiders ever since I can remember. This is one area that certainly needs addressing and fixing.
The defense especially in the 4th quarter always seems to collapse especially in the crucial final moments of the game and I agree with Willie that something much change up in the booth with the defensive coordinating team.

This is a team that should have easily won their division but instead are once again will be watching the play off''s with the rest of us from the comforts of their homes on TV

Hi Jim, Happy holidays. I think it shows a real weakness when the coach throws the players under the bus. Where does the buck stop, Hue?

And A Happy New Year to you and Lonnie as well...

I am sure that Jackson's comments did not go down very well and may have a morale issue during the off season.
There is a point when the coaching staff must step up to the plate and admit to being part of the problem as well.
Time to bring John Madden back out of retirement...

Will you be at Infineon this Sunday (January 8) for the season opener?
According to the weather forecasts, temps should be in the mid 60's and with the cool air a very fast race track.

It's a NON Summit ET points race just so you know in advance.

If you can't make it, you can follow it live on www.1320go.com beginning at 8 AM

Hope to see you on Sunday!

Default Defensive Cordinator

How about getting Steve Spagnuolo as Defensive Coordinator? He available now, because he been fired by the Rams. I think he be a good coordinator, did good when he was with the Giants.

We definatley need a defensive coordinator , and maybe a new head coach. Hue seemed over his head in several situations this year (end of the 2nd quarter on Sunday) and passed up on several easy field goals to prove he was a gambler. Maybe with a year's experience he will do better, but he should shut up and just coach. Can' watch our slow linebackers cover wide reciever down field without thinking thinking that our defensive schemes are just bad.

Default Head Coach

I think Hue Jackson deserve another year, the problem where on Defense mostly. When are Defense was 11th overall with John Marshall in 2010 and drop to 29th overall in 2011 with Bresnahan. We had Bresnahan already, need to go with a new coach.

Is it just me, or does Hugh Jackson remind anyone else of Mike Singletary?

Default Gm

Finally after all there years, of AL Davis controlling the team, where finally going to get a GM, Reggie McKenzie that will be allow to do his job. I think now that AL gone, the Raiders will be a great team again. I think next year we can make the playoff if we can get a good Defense going.
