It didn't sound like the concrete work would be happening anytime soon. Can you or anybody else provide any clarification? I doubt I can make it to VM but I do want to hit a Test & Tune night in the next couple of weeks. Asphalt or concrete, I'd at least like to know if they are going to be fully up & running when I go. Thanks.
Hi Les - we'll be following up on this. Last week Dave told us the repaving was on schedule and would be completed in the final week of May. I'll repost when we confirm.

As always Chuck, it will be a pleasure of having you as well as the other NCCA members at Infineon and will look forward in seeing you.

Thanks Chuck. I'm just about a week out from the date I picked for the Friday T&T. I have some friends lined up to help me on that day. Do you have any more info yet?

Christopher just posted up an awesome deal on some 315/17's that work on C4 GS or C4 ZR-1 Repros.

One last try for an update. I'm about 2 days away from loading up and heading to the track. Chuck, is there any news at all?

Hi Les - Yes I have an update. The track is marked and ready for the upgrade. The bad news - It will not happen in time for VM37; The good news is the track is now maintained by Paul Brander and crew; The best news is Paul, myself and his crew will be scapping down the track Thursday and putting down our first coat VP that night; more VP will be
spread on Saturday and again early Sunday morning and throughout the event as needed.

PS - The weather report shows partly sunny and in the low 80's for the event.

Hi Charles,
We will be there! Can we just pay and sign up at the show and at the gate for the drags, or do we have to mail in the flyer?
Thank!

Thanks Chuck. At least I know the track won't be torn up when I get there in 2 days. Hopefully it'll still be a little sticky from the last event.

It's just a Test & Tune session, not a racing event. It's a much smaller crowd. I just want to make sure I can get enough runs to get in one solid one and know what my car can run. Sometimes you don't get many runs in at the Weds. night events.

Last week at ALMS we were asked if drivers could use Snell 2000 helmets. Unfortunately, Snell 2000 are not allowed. Only Snell 2005 and 2010 helmets will be approved for drag racing on Sunday.

Please don't shoot the messenger as these are NHRA rules not mine nor the tracks.

I have sent a notice out to SCC. You might want to send something out to all the WSCC club reps or (better yet) send something to Rob or Buzz to forward out on the WSCC list server.

Wow, you posted this just in time for me! I would have showed up there the day after tomorrow with a Snell 2000 helmet. After trailering the car for 2 1/2 hours, not being allowed to run would have made for a very long, unhappy ride home. Luckily, I just located a Snell 2005 I can borrow.

I was thinking about coming out for this. Is it OK if I race an automatic car? I only have one corvette and it is my DD.
