I honestly hope they don't find the car as it probably won't be in the same condition. You will be much better off starting with a fresh car. I definitely understand feeling violated though. Hopefully the feeling will pass with time.

Ken, that sucks big time. I can't even express how much, including trying to replace the camera glass...

This thread is exactly why I put my keys and gear in the less full of my gun safes, and my wife thinks I'm paranoid...

Good luck with replacing or recovering your property.

This is the way things should be taken care of but in this State of Chaos (CA) authorities leave you helpless with stupid laws.
We noted your license plate and description of your car and will keep an eye out for you.

That sucks! Knowing that someone went through your house is probably the worst feeling. Just be glad that no one got hurt, and hopefully you can look forward to your next ride. C7???
This post has really made me think about where I put my keys.

This just sucks Ken I pray you find them alone and have a gun or hammer so you can smash or blow off their fingers. I keep a set of keys in my safe and always keep a set with me whether I am driving my truck or the Vette. As for your camera gear please list it as I am always on CL looking for camera gear as I have that bug also.

Been looking on CL for the camera stuff. The 500mm f4.0 is kind of hard to hide but I think the thief knows better than to try that route. Most likely in a pawn shop but the cops have all the sn for everything they got.

The vette on the other hand I suppect is in a chop shop or in a shipping container on its way overseas.

Ken, I hope it ends well for you. A neighbor a couple streets down from where I live in Antioch had a similar experience. They broke into his house, found the keys to his convertible C5, covered and parked on the driveway andt drove her away. They found the car a few days later in downtown Antioch without damage. He got off lucky. He now parks the Vette in the garage. I work in San Jose so I will keep an eye out for it. Good luck.
