LJ's Speed and Machine in Napa, CA.
They are family owned and been building engines of all types for over 50 years.

He doesn't make a lot of noise these days, but you will find no one more knowledgeable on the LT platform than Paul Caselas.
Park Performance, Speed Merchant, Goodies, Dyno West were all Paul
He's out in Grass Valley now

It's good to see that Paul is still around. Many years ago when he had his own place, he helped me with a tuning issue with the big block in my '69- at zero profit for him. He knows his stuff. It's good to see you pop up here too, Brett. I hope life is treating you very well.

I’ve heard the name before and there have been nothing but good comments about his work.
We spend a lot of time up in the Grass Valley area.
Does he have a shop or is he working from home semi retired?

Hey Les - l things are going quite well thank you. Recently reignited the Corvette frenzy with a 2002 Z06. I've gotta say, I've driven a lot of nutty cars in my life and while I've gone a lot faster in other configurations (the Nobel M400 widebody is king), there's something to a well done N/A V8 that just can't be replicated.

@OldCarBum Paul works out of his garage, but it's not like your or my garage. His most "famous" build

Looks like he does excellent work.

Brett, glad to hear things are good. I had to dig up some info on the Noble- so light! Your C5 Z06 is a very capable car with great balance. I love watching the Spec Corvette series videos. Those cars are tearing it up with extremely limited mods and the action is intense! Good stuff.

I got my C6Z back a couple weeks ago after having the LS7 gone through. I have a track day in 2.5 weeks. Between a large power increase and running on older NT01s (can't get fresh ones due to a long running backorder) I hope it's not a total skatefest out there.

Take care and enjoy your Z06.

If you don't mind driving a bit, Jason Pettis at Pettis Performance in Hesperia is well known for the quality he puts into his engines. He built a ZL-1 for me a decade ago and I was impressed across the board.

Did you end up finding an engine builder?

If willing to travel you can checkout CSM Racing Engines in Suisun City or T.O.E. Performance Products in Suisun city.
