OK, It's a car line I admittedly don't follow. And no I'm not 100, But I'll try and pay more attention to a broader selection of car manufacturers. BTW, Thanks for the pics.

You think the SS lines really did much? What pads did you go with for the street? I think I'd enjoy the EVO a bit more if it was closer to the vette's initial bite.

I did the fluid and lines at the same time and it made a big difference in the initial bite of the brakes but not a huge difference in the power of them. If that make sense??? Then I did the Ferodo DS2500s pads and that made a big difference in the power of the brakes but didnt change much for the initial bite. The pads helped fade a little also.

That makes sense. I was just trying to tease out where I could get rid of that almost painfully linear pedal in the EVO. Sounds like it may be the lines based upon your work. The braking power power isn't awful, it just feels like you really have to plant the pedal to make it stop vs the vette.

yeah use the motul fluid, it has a very high boiling point and I have used it in my bikes as well and it always helps firm up things. Kinda pricey though.

Not to a guy who runs SRF. Seriously, it's the only racing fluid. No more mid-day bleed sessions.

The EVO sees mostly street duty, so I highly doubt I'm boiling fluid, but I could believe the lines bulge enough to to give it a 'numb' feel.

I'm excited to get some brake mods on the EVO. Big thanks!

If you want to switch to the vette, you won't be disappointed. If you can keep both, even better.

Nice EVO and Vette!

A buddy of mine just got an AMS car pretty similar to yours.

Thanks

I saw that car at AMS they did an awesome job on her. It is very similar to ours except his is set up more for Road racing and ours is more for street/strip/and on 93oct ( street tune ) we can Road race it. which I plan on doing this summer at Watkins Glenn. I think he is running a smalller turbo than my car and he is still putting down about 600 at the wheels on race gas....and we are at about 708.

I think if your looking at getting a car for the track you can't go wrong with either C5 Z06 or Evo They both offer different driving experiences though. AWD vs RWD...I happen to like both. The new C6 Z is an 07 and I have only had it about a month and I love it. Awesome car right out of the box...but I'm going to do performace upgrades on it in stages as opposed to the EVO which was a full build right from the time I decided to modify it.

I think they both also take to mods very easily. If I were you and I was thinking of buying an Evo and doing any performance upgrades. I would strongly advice you to get the 5spd and not the 6sp as it has been proven to have weaker gears. A lot of people have already changed their trannys from 6sp to 5sp .....because of that reason so don't get the MR model. Save some money and get the SE model. You will be happy you did.

keep us posted on your choice

BTW: did brake and suspension upgrade to the Evo so the 'numb' feel is gone. Car handles like its on rails
