A 427 without the need for twin turbo to acheive similar results is more appealing to me, not to mention the rest of the Z06 package, style, etc.....

The advantage you have with this Twin-Turbo V6 is the modability. It won't be much of a suprise to see 100+HP gains with just turning the boost up. This car should see 9 second 1/4s with very little work done...possibly even on street tires.

I don`t like the look , too many sharp lines , and front and back just don`t look proportional. But thanks for posting.

Nothings official, but people are speculating around that. Either way if it is faster around a track then the 997 Turbo and Z06 who cares?

GTRs have always been boxy cars with sharp lines. This one follows its heritage well. These cars were never about pleasing body lines but rather raw performance/technology at a bargain price.

The looks aren't for me, but I like having another car on the market that can compete with the Z06 from a performance AND price standpoint. This could trigger an "arms race" between Nissan and GM that will benefit all of us.

No doubt over weight, no low end .. peaky power, overly complex engine and no headroom... all for $80K

Wrong. The car is said to produce its peak torque at 1650RPMs and hold it all the way to 5600RPMs. It uses similar technology to the 997 Turbo. This car will have MORE low end power then the Z06.

Sorry, but no way in hell does a mid to high 11 sec. car get in the 9's with "very little work done".
