We shall see. When I think 3800 lbs and AWD, I get nervous how many launches a big power GTR can do. Im more optimistic they are beefed up than not, but I'm also curious on what common part modded GTR's will break with big hp.

The GTR has some nice numbers, I like the interior & hate the exterior. I'll keep my C6 and wait for the C7 or the next Supra

MSRP wise it is up there no doubt. However the Z06 isn't really getting too much above MSRP now, and the GTR will have crazy markups. The C6Z will be a lot cheaper.

However the Z06 takes it in the 1/4.

It is more about the facts, not what is printed in an article...
The C6 Z06 has ran pure stock in the low 11's and a 10.85 with better tires...

Damn, for that kind of performance, cant they do better on the looks? I would love to have a car that does a 3.3 0-60 but that car is soooo ugly looking!!!

How many drivers, making how many runs, did it take to post that 10.85 figure for the ZO6 on drag radials?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but that article reads like some random auto journalist hopped into the GT-R and nailed 11.6 @ 121mph in two runs. I might expect to see better numbers from a GT-R hotshoe in the same manner as a Corvette hotshoe bettered the factory published numbers for the Corvette.

If you think that's bad, go check out the ZR-1 thread...

Yeah I did and it still looked much slower than 3.3 seconds, more like 5. I would need to see an official time slip + video from a drag strip or with my own eyes in person.

Ya wanna know how much I think this car is full of BS? I think a C5 could beat it to 60.

What I see is a heavy car with a bunch of gadgets to help it move quicker.
